I would say that the colonists where Patriots not a terrorist, because the colonists where just trying to express themselves about how annoying it is paying taxes for every single thing even tea. They didn't want to destroy all the hard work by the east Indian company, who grows tea and manufactured it. Colonists in Boston loved tea in that times, there were also lots of cafe shops that supplied tea. All the patriots are actually very loyal to their mother country England. They wanted to show that paying taxes is a hard thing, when under mercantilism. Terrorists are people who harm innocent people and kill the public for no reason. These patriots where not harming anyone it was the way they planned to teach a lesson to the British. Unlike, the terrorist like around the world who kills innocent people just because they have a personal
problem with the jury or government. for example something that happened in Thailand when the red shirts got no solution the started bombing the central and stuff. That is what is called terrorism.

Hi Aparna, your distinction between patriot and terrorist seems pretty logical to me. There seems to be a little confusion about the role of British Trading Companies - they do not actually produce any products since they are the middlemen, or the merchants responsible for buying specialized goods in one location, and selling them at another where the goods cannot be produced. For example, tea grown in Asia, is sold in the colonies where it cannot be produced.
